Folks We've Worked With
After 15 successful years of sales management experience, I was done. Numb from the recession, and disenchanted with poor leadership, I'd had enough. Ever felt like that? It's a hollow feeling.
Cassowary was created to fill the void.

Entertainment
The President of iHeart Media in Nashville gave me a shot at radio production when he asked me to help improve a Saturday morning home improvement listener call-in show.
One year later, I bought air time in Louisiana and produced my own "SEC Lifestyle" radio show. 3 hours every Saturday morning.
24/2! was our rally cry.
To promote the show, I designed a big ass burger for a sponsor. "The Weekender" is still the best-selling item on their menu.
I struck up a partnership with RRBC, a destination brewery emerging in northern LA. It was a ton of fun working on their beer list, packaging, brewery experience, and community outreach. I'm guilty of naming a coffee-infused amber "WOKE". I thought that would be the end of that word. I was wrong.
We brought a series of porters to marketing using a parody of "Life Aquatic". The launch of "Unpaid Intern" included a free orange beanie.
Next, I designed the label for a double IPA inspired by Lead Belly called "Twice Pardoned".
The only instruction..."It's not a prison beer".
Back in Tennessee, I leaned into Healthcare bringing a LifePoint Health Health System into the digital world. New websites, new social media strategy, new community outreach tactics, and a ton of video production. We were responsible for 4 Hospitals, 30+ practices, and a new urgent care brand.
By far, one of the most rewarding jobs I have ever had. It has opened me up to do so much good work in healthcare over the past decade.
Craft food and beverage started to become a passion play for Cassowary. Everyone involved loved these projects. Daddy Bob's was a small project in the whole scope of our work but we loved creating "Daddy Bob" The Prince of Pimento.
Standard Furniture needed a stronger brand, a refresh, and a stronger e-commerce market share. The very traditional, budget furniture manufacturer never really embraced our work, we started and stopped and started again and it never really felt like a great partnership. We learned a lot from this project.
After earning a Certification in Lean Healthcare from Auburn, they approached me to organize their course catalog, build out a new digital platform, write a new strategy, and then execute it.
After 5 years, it's been a wonderful partnership.
Challenged to create something spectacular for our local EMS workers, we put pencil to paper and created "The Paladin Games". It's a fully immersive half-day challenge testing the mind, body, and spirit of 2 person teams from stations all over Tennessee's
South Central 6 Region of EMS stations.
The half-day event included an SAT-style exam, an ambulance driving course, and a Tough Mudder style obstacle course.
It was a lot of fun and a huge success.

2023 Physician Recruitment Project
Hardin Medical Center
Savannah, Tennessee
Hardin Medical Center's CEO challenged us to help him recruit a new physician.
But not just any old doctor. He wanted a specific type of person. One who will embrace the unique counter-corporate culture he nurtures and someone who wants to work where they play.
We created a series of postcards designed to speak directly to Jim's vision of the perfect candidate and mailed (yes, mailed) them to 200 candidates within 150 miles of the hospital.
